All card bookings must be guaranteed by a valid credit or debit card at the time of booking. By agreeing to T&Cs, pax allow Gett to make a pre-authorization payment (amount may vary - usually £1), on their registered credit/debit card. This is to verify the validity of the card. This is done in a holding-state and temporarily reduces the card limit, but it is NOT a transaction charge and will not be reflected in one’s card statement eventually as we void it.

1p or ACTIVE CARD CHECK (no nominal value) - Every time a user adds a card Gett make a 1p pre-authorisation, (so if a passenger adds 3 cards, they will see 1p as a pre-authorisation3 times)

There are 2 types of pre-authorisation charge as well: £1 or estimated ride cost. If the user is a new rider, or doing a booking that is unusual for their profile we may take a preauthorisation which is an estimated ride cost. For all other users, the preauthorisation will be £1 as usual.

All pre-authorisations should return within 48 hours. if this has not been returned, please contact your Bank.
